I am a musician, gardener, artist and foodie.
My aim is to provide a warm and welcoming guest experience where you can unwind and enjoy some delicious fresh food and pampering.
Music
Music is a large part of my life. I am a qualified teacher of piano and theory and play in a local band.
Instruments collected and available to play include violin, guitar, a Welmar upright grand piano and a range of pipes and recorders.
Gardening
My lush garden is crammed full of productive and decorative plants and trees in loosely cottage-style.
Much of what is grown is harvested and used fresh or preserved for your breakfast. Three hens share my garden space and for their part they provide organic and free-range eggs.
Art
I am a teacher of Art and a sometimes artist. My work is dotted around the house. I gravitate toward plants and flowers but not exclusively and more recent work is photography-based..
Food
I am passionate about food and enjoy the process of creating meals which are healthy and delicious. I like to preserve and use home grown where possible but also buy in bread from a local artisan baker and enjoy the weekly Farmers Market for more specialized produce. I am happy to cater for special diets as well as vegan, organic and vegetarian preferences. Just let me know in advance so that I can be prepared.

Each of the guest rooms in the suite is uniquely curated with upcycled antique furniture, artwork and quality bedlinen for a blissful night’s sleep

Magnolia House is a delightfully decorated mid-century home set on 900 square metres of cottage garden with a wide range of orchard fruits and a productive vegetable garden.
